SUMMARY OF PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Graphic Design Intern will be actively involved in creating user manuals, product labeling/packaging, promotional pieces, brochures and advertisements, format press releases, web content and potentially other marketing communication functions. Full or part-time- minimum of 16 hours/week- maximum 32. Term: 3 months- extension beyond will be discussed at the end of term. $10/hr

SKILLS AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION

·         High attention to detail- must be able to trust accuracy of work- keen eye for editing

·         Efficiency and expedience are expected

·         Highly responsible, energetic, resourceful and independent worker

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION LEVEL, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

·         Seeking a degree (or recent graduate) in graphic design and/or illustration.

·         Experience to draw upon education.  Must be very talented and capable in Adobe Suites products- most specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign- some Flash may be  required

·         Windows/PC capable

·         Experienced photographer beneficial but not required

·         Web design background a plus but not required
