Stevenson High School is accepting applications from artists interested in creating a mural for its Information and Learning Center. The artist would work primarily on campus during the 2011-12 school year, and would be asked to interact and provide enriching experiences for SHS students throughout the process. The mural theme will be "Learning, Imagination, Creativity and Innovation."
The mural will be installed near the entrance of the school's renovated library. The wall on which the mural would be installed measures approximately 25 feet wide by seven feet high, and sits above a grand staircase that also serves as ampitheatre-style seating.
Funding for the project is being provided by a grant from the Patriot Parent Association.
Proposals must be submitted by September 9.
