Graphic Design Intern




Overview
Creative, flexible and versatile Graphic Design intern needed to join our tech incubation team at Sandbox Industries in Chicago, IL. This is a great opportunity to work with a fun team on a variety of startups and projects, and to gain experience with all things design.
You'll work with our fun team of designers, developers, writers, social media specialists and businesspeople at our offices in the West Loop of Chicago. You can work either part-time or full-time.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the design team and project managers to create marketing & sales presentations, collateral, illustrations, logos, icons and other graphics for web and print.
- Ensure creative alignment with branding and marketing strategies through design.
- Manage your very own projects from start to finish (includes brainstorming concepts and approaching projects with zeal)!

ABOUT YOU
- You’re currently in your last few years (or year) of school.
- Your middle name is typography.
- You're an amazing designer, who is able to adjust your style for different audiences--everything from dog-loving 30-somethings to ad agency executives.
- You know the differences between Arial and Helvetica.
- You’ve never underestimated the power of great kerning.
- You’re a self-starter who can work in a relatively unstructured environment.
- You notice when the alignment of something is one pixel off.
- Oh, and you know CS5 InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator (Powerpoint is a plus!)
