Chicago children's publishing and toy company is looking for a versatile, professional illustrator to join our team! The right person is smart, flexible, with excellent illustration skills as well as an eye for composition and moves quickly through projects. Can-do, positive attitude is a must. This is a great job for a talented illustrator starting out their career, or for a more experienced person.
This position would be heavily involved with designing and laying out books and possibly packaging and other print items. Illustrator would also be creating art for puzzles, early learning products, and books. Must have ability to create or match a range of illustration and painting styles. Our artwork needs range from whimsical water-colored characters, to realistically painted acrylic items, to ink line drawings, to computer drawings. The right person will enjoy the varied projects and have strong sense of composition and color in addition to being skilled as an illustrator.
Must have good knowledge of Mac Illustrator and basic knowledge of Photoshop.
