MURAL artist needed

Proposals for a Mural for the Eisenhower Public Library District, Harwood Heights, IL

Summary of Project
A 4’ X 21’ mural is proposed on the south wall of Kids World, in the Eisenhower Public Library. Interested parties are welcome to view the space, and preview the existing mural
Theme - Dragons and books.

The Kids department has always wanted to feature this theme in their department.
A patron purchased the poster “Priceless Treasure” by Sue Dawe
(http://home.simplyweb.net/suedawe/gallery.html) for this department. Kids of all
ages loved that dragon. We wanted to create a dragon of our own.
Main Features
The following are things we would like to see included:
1. one or more dragons—dragon should be child friendly but not childish
2. dragon should be reading or flying off with books
3. a forest
4. water
Practical Considerations

Work should be done on canvas. Canvas can depict one long  scene or it can be separated to show multiple scenes
Submit your idea on one (1) 18” x 24” sheet of paper or cardstock. Alternately, you  can submit your idea, and up to five (5) examples of other completed works, on a  disc in JPEG, PNG, PDF, or TIFF format.
Dimensions should be to scale (1 inch = 1 foot).
All submissions become property of the Eisenhower Public Library District,  and will not be returned.
