Redmoon Theater Artist & Marketing Internships


Emerging Artist Internship
Redmoon’s intensive Emerging Artist Internship program provides training in spectacle art techniques. Emerging artists of all backgrounds support the construction of original art objects and installation materials used in Redmoon events, while developing enduring skills and learning a philosophy of collaborative creativity. Internship sessions are 10-14 weeks, with a Thursday-Saturday 9:00-5:00 schedule. The internship is an unpaid opportunity.

Performance Internship
Redmoon’s Performance Internship provides performers from a variety of backgrounds the opportunity to work closely with Redmoon’s lead directors to learn our unique performance techniques and apply them in a professional production or event. No pay, Non Equity.

Marketing Intern
The Marketing Intern will assist Redmoon with its new Marketing Initiative.  The intern will complete tasks such as creating marketing collateral, managing social media, creating surveys, and tracking and analyzing website traffic.  The Marketing Intern will also work as on-site liaison for our Guerrilla Performances by passing out flyers and answering questions about Redmoon.  Skills required: excellent writing skills, good phone etiquette, and general knowledge of social media.  Knowledge of Constant Contact, Survey Monkey, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Excel a plus. The internship is an unpaid opportunity.
16-20 daytime hours per week (occasional weekends or evenings). 12-week commitment.

Development and Media Relations Internship
Development intern will receive practical, hands-on experience in administrative activities related to data entry, communication with current and potential donors as well as daily assistance with various development focused activities. Candidates must have great personable and communication skills.
Media Relations intern will assist in all PR activities that include creating press releases and media advisories, distributing them to print, television, web and radio outlets. There is some data entry activities as was as follow up communication via telephone and email; personable skills a must! The internship is an unpaid opportunity.
The internship is designed to take 12-20 hours per week over the course of a 10-week session (scheduling is flexible).

Office Administative Internship
The Adminstrative internship will receive hands-on experience in administrative activities including grant writing, board development initiatives, and general office tasks. Skills required: excellent writing skills, good phone etiquette, and general knowledge of office management.

Technical Build Internship
Technical Production Internship provides a dynamic learning environment to creative individuals seeking to expand their skills and obtain new techniques in, collaborative construction, carpentry, welding & metal fabrication, and electrical assembly. As a team interns will engineer solutions to satisfy the goals of each unique project. Participants will primarily engage with the logistic execution of productions and events while learning practices not exclusive to the theater industry.
